On device intelligence, by default

Henkq's Smart Suggestions parser runs entirely on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. When you type a reminder, the date and time parsing happens on the device. There is no AI server in the loop, no API call carrying your text to a third party, and no transcript anywhere outside your Apple devices.

Why Henkq syncs through iCloud on purpose

Some reviewers compare Henkq to purely local reminder apps that never touch a cloud. That is a fair comparison, and the difference is deliberate.

Henkq could run its own sync server. We chose not to. A developer-run cloud would store a second copy of your schedule on infrastructure Henkq controls, behind a Henkq account you do not need. Henkq syncs through your personal iCloud account and Apple's CloudKit instead:

No Henkq account and no Henkq server holding your reminder text.
Henkq cannot read what you wrote, sync stays between your Apple devices in your Apple ID.
Offline-first. Henkq works fully on one device without iCloud. Sync catches up in the background when you are online.
Vault stays local-first. Readable titles live in Keychain; CloudKit may sync only an encrypted reference, not plain text.
Advanced Data Protection for iCloud (optional) can further encrypt CloudKit metadata in your account.
